The FBWWM

After months of prayer, this ministry was founded in 1985. Believing that God gave the responsibility of carrying out the Great Commission to the local church, and not to para-church ministries, the Mission was founded by Dr. Ernest Gambrell, but under the authority of a local church. From the beginning, the pastor of the local church has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors that over-sees the operation of the ministry. The Board of Directors consists of Godly pastors who pastor independent, fundamental Baptist churches.

Missionaries receive a great number of benefits and helps from the ministry, but the primary purpose of the ministry is to assist pastors and local churches that are sending members of their congregation to the mission field. The Mission office becomes the office of the sending church and it's pastor. We handle the financial accounts of the missionary; we offering assistance in obtaining visas into the country to which they are sending their missionary; plus basic training and assistance in everything from deputation to turning the newly planted church on the field over the National leadership. We assist pastors in solving any type of problem that his missionary encounters, either in the States or on the field. Over 100 years of foreign field experiences is available on the Mission staff to assist the pastor in solving these problems.

The missionary remains under the leadership and direction of the sending pastor and the sending pastor is always the final authority in every decision made concerning his missionary. We look forward to serving you.
